At first, I went weekly to the St. Lawrence Market. From January to mid-March, I went bravely and happily to interact with customers and sell my art. I didn't actually put much stock in the panic over the Corona virus. I thought that it was like any other flu or illness: people would contract it, recover, and then carry on as usual.
However, when the government advised everybody to self-isolate until things got better, I stayed home. There wouldn't be many people at the market anyway, I reasoned.
So, I've been biding my time until I get the green light and be able to go back to my beloved St. Lawrence Market.
I paint and write, and I sell my merch on Etsy. I eat chocolate (Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are my favourite); and I drink Crown Royal, Bailey's, and red wine. Not all at once, though. My three cats give me love and joy through this crazy period. I’ve been FaceTiming with friends, too, but it's not the same as actually being with them. I've hired a new person named Charmaine (who is wonderful!) because two of my regular employees went into self-isolation.
As always, my life is one big juggling act - only more so now!
I did go outside this week. That's a brilliant beginning!
